Appin Aqueduct Expansion Joints
Premier Cut were brought in to put expansion joints in the aqueduct bridge which transports water from Broughton’s Pass to Prospect Reservoir.
The project involved drilling holes up to 8 metres long through the aqueduct walls and base to feed the diamond wire through for the Wire Saw. In certain sections a continuous diamond wire loop of up to 24 metres was used to cut the expansion joints.
